It has not quite been a year since Lindsey and I packed up and moved from Georgia to Fort Worth, Texas, leaving behind our family, many friends, and even our beautfiul golden retriever, Sadie. We left behind good paying jobs for school and 60 hour work week. We went from a 1700 square foot house to a 600 square foot apartment. Needless to say it has been quite a big change. But still, God has remained faithful. He has provided in so many ways. Though we aren't making near what we made before the move, and we have more bills now than we did then, including a house payment, God has taken care of our every need. We have not had to worry, only trust and obey Him and His leading. It has been 10 months that have stretched us and changed us, bringing greater reliance on God instead of ourselves. He is all that we need.

We left many great people in Georgia, but God has richly provided us the much needed fellowship and community of other believers. He continues to add to it, it seems, on a weekly basis. We love and miss our friends and family in Georgia greatly, but we are cherishing these new, developing, friendships, and the strengthening of old relationships (Ryan and Suzanne).

Greatest of all though, is the spiritual growth that is being seen. At times it has felt like a vast, dry desert, but even in the midst of struggles and fears, God has been teaching, molding and shaping us. He is opening up opportunities to minister. I will be starting an internship at FBC Colleyville real soon (I lead worship for a Bible study there already). What people we have met are so awesome, with hearts on fire for God. Though we have been serving in our respective jobs, we finally are back to serving in a church, not merely attending a service or Sunday School. Its exciting to think about and the opportunities are endless as to what God has in store. I can't wait to be discipled and poured into, and to also disciple and pour into others.

What a interesting, and sometimes tough, year it has been, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Great things are on the horizon. Great things for God's glory, not mine. For His kingdom, not man's. Why would I want it any other way? I want God to be glorified, so I find my satisfcation in Him. "God is most glorified when we are most satisfied in Him." - John Piper

Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. - Psalm 37:4

May His desires be my desires. May God be my only delight, my only satisfaction.
