Wisdom Teeth

So, now that I seem to be almost fully recovered from the extraction of my 3rd molars - wisdom teeth for the lay person -I figured I would write. The surgery went well and I have gotten a ton of rest over the last few days, which has been nice. I am going to go into work later on and get ready for Bible study tonight. I am looking forward to getting out and about a little bit, but I was also enjoying not having shaved or done much of anything as well. Gotta get back into a schedule though.

You know, I wish there would have been a tape recorder or camera going from the time I woke up from surgery to the time I got home and got in bed. Lindsey had a good time with it, from what I know. I remember parts of it, audibly, but I don't remember seeing anything. I remember they had a radio playing in the room before surgery and I was singing Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" before I was knocked out. I remember the nurse saying "He's singing" and then the next thing I knew I was in a wheel chair going to the car. Lindsey said I kept talking about how I was singing that song. She said I was very observant about stuff, but I don't remember seeing anything. Lindsey called my secretary, Jerri, to tell her that I was doing well and all and apparently I told her to tell Jerri that there were complications, but that we were able to save the baby. I have no clue where that came from. I also tried to hit on Lindsey as she was trying to help me change into my pajama pants. I was like "ooo baby." Like I said, I wish I would have had a video camera or tape recorder or something to see and hear what I did or said.

I haven't been in any pain though, and haven't swollen up really any either. I have had a good recovery which I am thankful for. I also thought it was funny how my face was numb for most of the day and evening Monday. It was kind of funny to have Lindsey try to give me water and clean me from trying to eat a milkshake. This time off I have been able to read a little more, which is nice. I am reading The Faith by Charles Colson and so far it is really good. I recommend it. It talks about the importance of what Christians believe, why we believe it, and why it matters. Every Christian should read it because we are so ignorant when it comes to what we believe and how we can defend it properly. I really like Chuck Colson a lot as I have had the chance to hear him speak a few times.

Anyway, that is just a little bit of what I got going on. Tomorrow afternoon I have an appointment to go see a skin doctor. I have some spots on me that I need to get checked out just to make sure it's not cancer or anything. So, be in prayer for me on that. Hope you enjoyed a little bit of my story. Peace.

Chris
